The Double Laplace Transform Expressed in terms of the Lerch Transcendent

In this manuscript, the authors derive a formula for the double Laplace transform expressed in terms of the Lerch Transcendent. The log term mixes the variables so that the integral is not separable except for special values of k. The method of proof follows the method used by us to evaluate single integrals. This transform is then used to derive definite integrals in terms of fundamental constants, elementary and special functions. A summary of the results is produced in the form of a table of definite integrals for easy referencing by readers.

Stable LocatingDominating Sets in Graphs

S is a stable locatingdominating set of G if it is a locatingdominating set of G and S \ {v} is a locatingdominating set of G for each v âˆˆ S. The minimum cardinality of a stable locatingdominating set of G, denoted by Î³sl(G), is called the stable locatingdomination number of G. In this paper, we investigate this concept and the corresponding parameter for some graphs. Further, we introduce other related concepts and use them to characterize the stable locatingdominating sets in some graphs.

Mixed Type Algorithms for Asymptotically Nonexpansive Mappings in Hyperbolic Spaces

In this paper, a new mixed type iteration process for approximating a common fixed point of two asymptotically nonexpansive selfmappings and two asymptotically nonexpansive nonselfmappings is constructed. We then establish a strong convergence theorem under mild conditions in a uniformly convex hyperbolic space. The results presented here extend and improve some related results in the literature.

A Finite Difference Fictitious Domain Wavelet Method for Solving Dirichlet Boundary Value Problem

In this paper, we introduce a Finite Difference Fictitious Domain Wavelet Method (FDFDWM) for solving two dimensional (2D) linear ellipticÂ partial differential equations (PDEs) with Dirichlet boundary conditions on regular geometric domain. The method reduces the 2D PDE into a 1D system of ordinary differential equations and applies a compactly supported wavelet to approximate the solution. The problem is embedded in a fictitious domain to aid the enforcement of the Dirichlet boundary conditions. We present numerical analysis and show that our method yields better approximation to the solution of the Dirichlet problem than traditional methods like the finite element and finite difference methods.

Note on a Stieltjes Transform in terms of the Lerch Function

This transform is used to derive closed form solutions involving fundamental constants and special functions. If G has a 2resolving set, we denote the least size of a 2resolving set by dim2(G), the 2metric dimension of G. A 2resolving set of size dim2(G) is called a 2metric basis for G. This study deals with the concept of 2resolving set of a graph. An Application of Finite Groups to Hopf algebras

<p>Kaplanskyâ€™s famous conjectures about generalizing results from groups to Hopf al<br />gebras inspired many mathematicians to try to find solusions for them. Recently, Cohen and Westreich in [8] and [10] have generalized the concepts of nilpotency and solvability of groups to Hopf algebras under certain conditions and proved interesting results. In this article, we follow their work and give a detailed example by considering a finite group G and an algebraically closed field K. In more details, we construct the group Hopf algebra H = KG and examine its properties to see what of the properties of the original finite group can be carried out in the case of H.</p>

LaplaceSBA Method for Solving Nonlinear Coupled Burger's Equations

<p>Burgerâ€™s equations, an extension of fluid dynamics equations, are typically solved by several numerical methods. In this article, the laplaceSomÃ© Blaise Abbo method is used to solve nonlinear Burger equations. This method is based on the combination of the laplace transform and the SBA method. After reminders of the laplace transform, the basic principles of the SBA method are described. The process of calculating the LaplaceSBA algorithm for determining the exact solution of a linear or nonlinear partial derivative equation is shown. Thus, three examples<br />of PDE are solved by this method, which all lead to exact solutions. Our results suggest that this method can be extended to other more complex PDEs.</p>

Group Splitting with SOR/AOR Methods for Solving Boundary Value Problems: A Computational Comparison

<p>Many researchers are working on the explicit group methods as the alternative methods for solving several boundary value problems. These methods have been shown to be much faster than the other point iterative methods in solving the elliptic partial differential equations (EPDEs), which is due to the formersâ€™ overall lower computational complexities. This paper is concerned with the application of a suitable Explicit Group (EG) iterative method for solving EPDEs. This study will compare several iterative methods such that S5pointSOR,4 PointEGSOR, 5SpointAOR, and 4 PointEGAOR. Numerical experiments were carried out to confirm our results by using MATLAB software. The results reveal that 4 PointEGAOR is the most superior method among these methods.</p>

On the Aspects of Enriched Latticevalued Topological Groups and Closure of Latticevalued Subgroups

<p>Starting with L as an enriched clpremonoid, in this paper, we explore some categorical connections between Lvalued topological groups and Kent convergence groups, where it is shown that every Lvalued topological group determines a wellknown Kent convergence group, and conversely, every Kent convergence group induces an Lvalued topological group. Considering an Lvalued subgroup of a group, we show that the category of Lvalued groups, LGRP has initial structure. Furthermore, we consider a category LCLS of Lvalued closure spaces, obtaining its relation with Lvalued Moore closure, and provide examples in relation to Lvalued subgroups that produce Moore collection. Here we look at a category of Lvalued closure groups, LCLGRP proving that it is a topological category. Finally, we obtain a relationship between LGRP and LTransTOLGRP, the category of Ltransitive tolerance groups besides adding some properties of Lvalued closures of Lvalued subgroups on Lvalued topological groups.</p>

Definite Integral of Power and Algebraic Functions in terms of the Lerch Function

<p>Bierens de haan (1867) evaluated a definite integral involving the cotangent function and this result was also listed in Gradshteyn and Ryzhik (2007). The objective of this present note is to use this integral along with Cauchy's integral formula to derive a definite logarithmic integral in terms of the Lerch function. We will use this integral formula to produce a table of known and new results in terms of special functions and thereby expanding the list of definite integrals in both text books.</p>

On Resolving Hop Domination in Graphs

<p>A set S of vertices in a connected graph G is a resolving hop dominating set of G if S is a resolving set in G and for every vertex v âˆˆ V (G) \ S there exists u âˆˆ S such that dG(u, v) = 2. The smallest cardinality of such a set S is called the resolving hop domination number of G. This paper presents the characterizations of the resolving hop dominating sets in the join, corona and lexicographic product of two graphs and determines the exact values of their corresponding resolving hop domination number.</p>

On General Properties of Degenerate Systems of Second Order Partial Differential Equations of Hypergeometric Type

<p>For the first time, the general properties of degenerate related hypergeometric systems such as Horn, Whittaker, Bessel and Laguerre are investigated together. The joint research allowed to reveal their various common properties and to establish a number of new degenerate related systems. They are all private cases of the common system offered by the authors for consideration. For the full study, it is important to classify its regular and irregular special curves and to identify the types of corresponding solutions. In this paper, they are implemented using simple rules. Special attention is paid to the construction of normal and regular solutions, because the solutions of all related degenerate systems such as Horn, Whittaker, Bessel and Laguerre near the irregular singularity on infinity relate to this species. Peculiarities of building normalregular solutions by the FrobeniusLatysheva method are shown. All constructed normalregular solutions are expressed through the function of Humbert Â variables, which is the solution of degenerate hypergeometric system of Horn type. As an example, the cases Â where, along with the application of the FrobeniusLatysheva method, the possibility of outputting new degenerate related systems is demonstrated.</p>

Extremal Copulas and Tail Dependence in Modeling Stochastic Financial Risk

<p>These last years the stochastic modeling became essential in financial risk management related to the ownership and valuation of financial products such as assets, options and bonds. This paper presents a contribution to the modeling of stochastic risks in finance by using both extensions of tail dependence coefficients and extremal dependance structures based on copulas. In particular, we show that when the stochastic behavior of a set of risks can be modeled by a multivariate extremal process a corresponding form of the underlying copula describing their<br />dependence is determined. Moreover a new tail dependence measure is proposed and properties of this measure are established.</p>

This paper is concerned with, structural properties and construction of quantum codes over Z3 by using constacyclic codes over the finite commutative nonchain ring R = Z3 + Î½Z3 + Ï‰Z3 + Î½Ï‰Z3 where Î½2 = 1, Ï‰2 = Ï‰, Î½Ï‰ = Î½Ï‰, and Z3 is field having 3 elements with characteristic 3. A Gray map is defined between R and Z43. The parameters of quantum codes over Z3 are obtained by decomposing constacyclic codes into cyclic and negacyclic codes over Z3. As an application, some examples of quantum codes of arbitrary length, are also obtained.
